lots of killing and plotting, this season. a lot like godfather. the sad thing is, though the shelbys tried so hard to climb up the social ladders, so much so to exploit their own people, in the end, the social barrier remained a sheath shield. the series also depicted the clashes of socialism and capitalism in the 20s', where factory workers united themselves for better wages, and parity for both sexes of workers. Still, Tommy Shelby used his charm to win over the leader of the union and solved the cirsis by lying and deception. what a waste of the character building of jessie eden, who could have been a more prominent female character in this show.
in the end , the shelbys got together once again, to consolidate the family goal and value. will al capone be seen in the next season? will the family stretch further out to the usa? i think it could happen , also it will be easier to sell this show in the states.
aside from all the micro and macro politics in this show, I'm actually just binging it for Cillian's eyes really. he's such a beauty. also, when i grow old, i want to be like helen mccrory. ( and prey on younger guys.) she's so good.
